CRITERIOS QUE OTORGAN EL PUNTO DE LIBRE DISPOSICIÓN EN EL COLEGIO J.H. NEWMAN CURSO 25/26 (Pendiente curso 26/27)
- Having an adopted child or a child in foster care (Proof: Adoption or foster care certificate)
- Having been enrolled in one of the following nurseries for at least three months before the start of the admission process: Toscana or Suecia Garden, Abc Go, Lázaro, El Mundo de Mozart, or Cristo de la Guía. (Proof: Certificate from the nursery showing the student's enrollment date, at least from September of the current school year)
- Being a former student of the school or having a first-degree relative enrolled (parent, sibling) or a first-degree family member working at the school. (Proof: School certificate)
ADMISSION CRITERIA
SCORING CRITERIA FOR THE ADMISSION PROCESS OF STUDENTS FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR IN PUBLICLY-FUNDED CENTERS OFFERING SECOND CYCLE OF INFANT EDUCATION, PRIMARY EDUCATION, SPECIAL EDUCATION, AND OBLIGATORY SECONDARY EDUCATION
Priority Criteria:
1. Siblings enrolled in the school: If there is one sibling enrolled in the requested school: 15 points. If there are two or more siblings enrolled in the requested school: 30 points.
2. Proximity of the student’s home or the workplace of the parents or legal guardians:
Home or workplace of one of the parents or legal guardians located in the same municipality as the requested school: 12 points.
In the case of Madrid, in addition to the points above, if the home or workplace of one of the parents or legal guardians is in the same municipal district as the requested school: 1 point.
Home or workplace of one of the parents or legal guardians located in a municipality in the Community of Madrid different from the requested school: 8 points.
3. Family income: If either of the parents or legal guardians is a beneficiary of the Minimum Insertion Income or the Minimum Vital Income: 12 points.
Complementary Criteria: 4. Parents or legal guardians working at the requested school: 10 points. 5. The student belongs to a large family (a child not yet born will be counted for the purpose of this criterion): General large family: 10 points. Special large family: 11 points. 6. The student was born from a multiple birth: 3 points.
7. The student belongs to a single-parent family: 3 points. 8. The student is in a situation of family foster care: 3 points. 9. Existence of legally recognized physical, mental, or sensory disability of the student, parents, siblings, or legal guardians: 7 points.
10. Victim of gender-based violence or terrorism: 2 points. 11. Condition of a former student of the applicant, the parents, legal guardians, or any sibling of the applicant at the requested school: 4 points.
12. Other circumstances, which may overlap with other admission criteria, determined by the school according to objective criteria and made public by the school: 3 points.
Tie-Breaking Criteria:
In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be applied in order:
Higher score in the "siblings enrolled in the requested school" section. Higher score in the "proximity of the home or workplace of the parents or legal guardians" section. Higher score in the "family income" section.
Higher score in the "parents or legal guardians working at the requested school" section.
Higher score in the "student belongs to a large family" section. Higher score in the "student born from a multiple birth" section.
Higher score in the "student belongs to a single-parent family" section.
Higher score in the "student in a situation of family foster care" section. Higher score in the "legally recognized disability" section for the student, parents, siblings, or legal guardians. Higher score in the "victim of gender-based violence or terrorism" section.
Higher score in the "former student" section for the applicant, parents, legal guardians, or siblings.
Higher score in the "other circumstances" section determined by the school.
